Photographer's Daily Bread
These are quotations from some great photographers and a few from me. The accompanied photos were picked from my personal selections.
Some of these quotes (though merely one or two liners) has build a strong impact on my photography approach over the years and the way I see a surrounding. None of these great masters ever mentioned about sensor or camera technology, albeit not during their time. My job is to create meaningful images, not to provide evidence of quality for the manufacturer of any camera.
Eg., a simple yet powerful truth - A good photograph is knowing where to stand (Ansel Adam). This certainly affects directly proportional to the result and output of the image. But I like to add further to what Ansel said. He must have also meant the need to perceive a good visualisation to know where to stand. Both must come hand in hand. If you have no idea how to compose a picture firstly in your head, than it stands to reason you are not standing at the right place. Unless you merely waiting for the opportunity to come instead of creating one.
I hope by embracing some of these quotations, it will enhance a different way and philosophy of seeing things to better photography. Take it as your daily bread.

Love the quotations! Particularly those from one David Low...camera is indeed an exquisite tool that hangs around the neck, sometimes a millstone! ;-)
