Yuanyang, Mar 2015
This is the enchanting scenery of Yuanyang, a vast area of rice terrace field build by the Hani Tribes 1,300 years ago. The terrace extend over 3,700 layers with 4,600 water channels from the foot to the top of mountains, which might be deemed as “first of the world”.
The view from the top of the rice terrace is gloriously magnificent, especially when the setting sun twinkle with the ripples of water that reflects out an array of patterns and tones. Countless shapes and unspeakable variations in such spectacular scene have comprised the grandest symphony which attracts worldwide attention. It was listed as National Wetland Park and the UNESCO has entered Yuanyang rice terrace fields in its World Cultural Heritage.
