Xiapu. Fujian, Dec 2012
I had an opportunity to exhibit 20 pieces of my photographs together with some notable well known photographers in the 4th Photography Festival at Fujian, Xiapu. We also had the opportunity to shoot the coastal on 3 occasions. I was told even you shoot for 10 years in this coastline is never enough to capture the full array of her beauty.
Xiapu has the longest coast line in Fujian and the largest mudflat in China. It is well known for its mudflat aquaculture and offers photographers for its unique coastal scenery. Due to the suitable temperature, Xiapu mudflats are rich in oyster, yellow croakers, kelp and laver. The shimmering rays of sunrise and sunset over the vast coast is breathtaking that gives out different tones and colours throughout the seasons.
