Jiuzhaigou / Huanglong, Oct 2010
Jiuzhaigou National Park (九寨沟); means "Valley of Nine Villages". It is known for its many multi-level waterfalls and colourful lakes and is home to nine Tibetan villages. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 and the park joined the Man and Biosphere Conservation Network in 1997.
Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) is a scenic and historic interest area known for its spectacular travertine, karst formations and rimstone pools formed by calcite deposits. It was also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992.
