Passage of Time
I find seeking out artistic representations within the natural world demand more of a challenge. I try to assess my surroundings with a fresh perspective, always on the lookout for details that could be interpreted in an alternative way. In this gallery, most of the shots were taken with slightly longer than a normal exposure to create an art form, hence "Passage of Time," is the period I spent in solitude after shuttle is pressed. Long exposure photography gives me a sense of solace and tranquility. Some pictures were blended in post processing.
Perhaps most intriguing of all is that it is possible to photograph what is impossible for the human eye to see, ie cumulative time....Michael Kenna
These photos are created a zen-like feeling, very surrealistic atmosphere and mood. What I aim for is art....Joel Tjintjelaar.

on June 2, 2011I'm using Hoya ND400 (9 stop). Wanted to get B+W 110 (10 stop) but don't have my dia. size. Exposure can range anything from 1 min (most likely on mid day) to 3 or 4 min (late afternoon or evening). There are a few images just a few seconds. Because my camera is not a DSLR, I need to switch on the denoise, otherwise, too many artifacts. So a 3 min exposure will become 6 mins. Not sure whether DSLR need to on the denoise as I don't own one.
