Monochrome : I was so immersed by the works of Michael Kenna and Andre Kertesz that only as late as Sep 08 that I took a serious liking in B/W photography. There and then I realised the gritty realism of monochrome images seems to speak more clearly than colour ever could.

Their works and many other great masters shall remain a source of inspiration for me to acquire further knowledge. I believed I have not done too badly thus far.

F1 : Sorry, no F1 cars photo to show as I've never been a fan of shooting what everyone else shoots since you can see them all in magazines. Instead, this gallery contains pictures that were taken around the F1 circuit, all glam up in a carnival atmosphere, accompanied by glittering parties, extravaganza, candid moments and capturing some vintage cars exhibits.

Hairy Legs : These "beauties" that has more legs than us has given me endless photographic opportunities, including those that has died !!

Most of my shots are not captured macro as I believed it can be quite achievable with a macro lens and start firing flashes with a pre-determined settings. My preference is to include the background to form my composition.

If you sense the potential for a good photograph, you wait, you wait and you wait. Then in a fleeting instant, you grasp it like a predator and relish the moment - Marc Riboud

Laundries : As we are staying in an urbanized country with the majority housing units built as flats, I find something worth recording given the ample opportunities about our "decorated" balconies (essentially our backyard). These images are my expression of the way laundries are sun in the balconies or corridors.

Cable Cars Lights : These series consist streaks of cable car lights. It's so fascinating that the trail of lights can churn out endless combination of various patterns and some images appeared to resemble some sort of alien flying objects. Hope you like it.

Fly-By-Nite Kite : These kites are remote controlled and has tiny LED lights attached and fly like a plane. It is seldom seen in other parts of the world and is truly a Singaporean invention. It can hover, roll, loop, inverted fly, axle roll and stall turn. Every night without fail, it attracts flocks of curious local visitors and tourists admiring the large “fire flies”.

The light paths are so varied that you can never have enough in attempting to capture the best streaks. Kinda wanted to go back there again and again.

Our Pets : We started with a pair of silky terriers, Russ (male) and Jazz (female). Russ has acknowledged my daughter as his master and Jazz reckoned me. Unfortunately, Jazz has fallen ill and has left us. Wherever I went, whether taking a shower, feeding the fish or at the computer, she will faithfully wait outside the shower door or sit next to me waiting for me to finish my chores. Dogs are such faithful animals !!
